PCC, easy as 1-2-3

Allo, allo, allo…

Just one day until PCC elections take place across most of the UK!

Regarded by some as ‘the biggest shake-up in years’ for UK policing, the elections are certainly sparking debate, with many questioning the allegiance of candidates, who are typically aligned with political parties.

Partisan politics aside, the PCC elections pose a great opportunity for us – the general public – to determine the priorities of local policing. With one day left until the elections, here are three things you can do to make human trafficking a priority concern in your community:

  1. Check out your local candidates, their priorities, and how to contact them.
  2. Contact your candidates – or your preferred candidate – and ask them to make human trafficking a priority in your area. If you’re really keen, you can research the scale of trafficking in your area beforehand. For more details check out our website.
  3. Go out and vote for the right candidate tomorrow! And of course, encourage others to do so.

Let’s make our votes count to stamp out trafficking in our communities!
