Allo, allo, allo…
Just one day until PCC elections take place across most of the UK!
Regarded by some as ‘the biggest shake-up in years’ for UK policing, the elections are certainly sparking debate, with many questioning the allegiance of candidates, who are typically aligned with political parties.
Partisan politics aside, the PCC elections pose a great opportunity for us – the general public – to determine the priorities of local policing. With one day left until the elections, here are three things you can do to make human trafficking a priority concern in your community:
- Check out your local candidates, their priorities, and how to contact them.
- Contact your candidates – or your preferred candidate – and ask them to make human trafficking a priority in your area. If you’re really keen, you can research the scale of trafficking in your area beforehand. For more details check out our website.
- Go out and vote for the right candidate tomorrow! And of course, encourage others to do so.
Let’s make our votes count to stamp out trafficking in our communities!
