ACTivate workshop: BOOK NOW!

On Saturday 15th May STOP THE TRAFFIK is holding an interactive workshop to establish and support Active Communities against Trafficking. Come and be ACTivated!

Why: Human trafficking starts in communities, affects every community, and can be stopped by communities. Local and national police agencies are asking STOP THE TRAFFIK for community awareness and information on local human trafficking. Active Communities against Trafficking (ACT) groups aim to inform and equip local communities to work with their local authorities and police forces to tackle human trafficking in their area.

What: This workshop will show you how human trafficking affects your community, and equip you to establish an effective ACT group in your area. You will hear from representatives of local authorities and police forces, as well as from STOP THE TRAFFIK and successful ACT groups.

Who: For only those who

–         want to set up an ACT group and need to recruit volunteers;

–         want to set up an ACT group and have a group of volunteers;

–         have an existing ACT group and want to learn more.

When: 2-6pm, Saturday 15th May 2010.

Where: The Oasis Centre, 1 Kennington Road, London SE1 7QP

Cost: £10 per person payable by cheque to STOP THE TRAFFIK to cover the day’s

costs. Let us know if you want to come but payment is difficult.
