Cross Border Initiatives: Moldova and Eastern Europe

For some reason, Moldova has been cropping up in my anti-trafficking world of late.

Firstly there was the interview on Aljazeera and a few months later a radio journalist put a 30 minute documentary together called Promises Promises about Moldova – Europe’s poorest country – she kindly asked yours truly and my fantastic colleague Simon Chorley to take part. Should you be interested in Moldova, you can listen to it here http://promisespromises.podcastfeed.co.uk/

The journalist works with an amazing organisation called Cross Border Initiatives who have been working tirelessly to produce resources and a magazine to distribute throughout Eastern Europe raising awareness about human trafficking, phoney job agencies and safe migration. They are targeting orphanages, schools and rural communities.

They are about to launch a fundraising tour around Europe, be sure to hunt them down if they are coming to a town near you!
