Chin Fung Chu a 47 year old tourist guide pleaded not guilty to trafficking 26 people, including six minors from China.
Sunday Times found child labour in cosmetic factory
An investigator for the Sunday Times found child labour in a cosmetic factory in India. Children as young as 6 were found working in mica mines in the jungles of Jharkhand, even though it is illegal in India to work if you are under 14. The German based Pharmaceutical firm Merck KgaA was at the heart of the scandal. The company supplies S Black, an organization that sells mica products to British manufactures like Tesco and Asda.
