Today the Mumbai Mirror reports on the work of STOP THE TRAFFIK members in India:  The Gorakhpur chapter of Childline, an NGO working for child welfare, was tipped off about four women bringing in a minor girl via the Nepal border and that she could be taken abroad to be used as a sexual slave. Childline quickly sought help from the local police. “Unfortunately, we were not able to mobilise our resources in time and the women boarded the Khushi Nagar Express with the girl. However, we got information on the appearance of the girl and these women. We immediately alerted our partner agency at Mumbai — Oasis India,” said the official. Oasis India formed two teams comprising eight members each. The teams decided to rescue the child at the station itself, said Ranjeet Chouguley of Oasis India.
